DEFY Youth Social Entrepreneurship Summit 

Dear DEFIERS

Greetings! 
Round 1 of DEFY: The Social Entrepreneurship Challenge is now officially closed. Thank you for sending in your entries. Announcement of the top 6 teams will be on March 15, 2011, Tuesday

Please take note of the following dates and changes:
March 19, Saturday Free Trip to Gawad Kalinga's Enchanted Farm located at Angat, Bulacan for the top 6 teams. This will be whole day as the Live Case Round and the Finale will both be taking place here. The case will be given on the spot and teams will be challenged to make their case proposals and presentations in a span of hours. Teams will be given 15 minutes to present and another 10 minutes will be alloted for discussion

The announcement and awarding of the Most Defiant Team (winning team) will be on April 2, 2011. Please wait for further information and announcementsApril 2, Saturday DEFY: The Social Entrepreneurship Summit at Unilab Bayanihan Center in Mandaluyong.This will be a day long conference that will feature the Philippine's top young social entrepreneurs. Announcement and awarding of the Most Defiant Team (winning team) will take place here. All 6 teams are required to attend. Teams who will not make it to Round 2 are highly encouraged to attend this summit. Freebies await you! We wish you all good luck!

DEFY Orientation

Hello Defiers!

Please make sure that 
at least 2 representatives from your group attend the orientation on Feb 28, 2011 as the mechanics of the case study competition will be explained on that day. Ms. Anna Meloto-Wilk, co-founder of Human Nature -one of the most successful Philippine social enterprise- will also be there as our speaker.

The orientation will be held at the 
Techportal Conference Room of UP AyalaLand Technohub from 4-6 pm. Please be there by 3:30 PM for registration and bring your ID or Form 5(for UP students). Team representatives who were able to attend the orientation in La Salle are not required to attend the orientation in TechnoHub as well as their team members. If you have any questions, feel free to  email us at [email protected].
