Defy: A Social Entrepreneurship Challenge

DEFY is a month‐long case study competition between students of ADMU, DLSU, and UPD with the aim of engaging them in social entrepreneurship, not only a viable career option but more importantly, a fulfilling and exciting  choice.  In  this  competition ,  they  will  be  able  to  interact  with real social entrepreneurs  who  have succeeded in their own right, creating positive change for our country. By the end of the competition, we would succeed in honouring the participants’ skills through augmenting classroom learning and making them realize that business can be used to improve lives and help alleviate poverty in the Philippines. The winning team will receive a fellowship grant care of Gawad Kalinga Center for Social Innovation (CSI) where they will be groomed to be real social entrepreneurs, with a start‐up capital amounting to Php 500,000.
